After an incredibly busy start to the offseason, the NBA is now in the dog days of August. Without much NBA news, it’s time to dive deep into what we experienced the past two months. One of those was the departure of Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant.
The Warriors lost a four-time scoring champion and a former MVP.
However, at the same time, given Durant’s injury, they should feel they came out with an excellent load for him. The Warriors brought in Nets’ guard D’Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade that’ll keep Russell in the Bay for the next four seasons.
