In an interview with NBC Sports-Bay Area’s Monte Poole, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said that he can’t decide between using Patrick McCaw or Nick Young as a back up shooting guard for Klay Thompson.
Compromised by a short preseason and the exhibition games in China, Kerr couldn’t properly evaluate the two players before making a decision. The season is early enough for Kerr to experiment with Young and McCaw in different lineups during practice and in games.
You can make a solid case for both of these players: Young is a shooter that can score in bunches and can keep the offensive momentum going when Stephen Curry or Kevin Durant is on the bench.
