Earlier this month in the town of Bothell, Washington, just north of Seattle, citizens went into a panic when Facebook and Instagram experienced widespread outages. Alarmed by this first world crisis, some residents in the town called 911, prompting the Bothell police department to admonish its citizens. “We will move mountains to help those in our community,” tweeted Bothell PD. “However, we can’t fix Facebook so please don’t call 911 to let us know it’s down.” After losing to the Houston Rockets on opening night and then continuing their poor play against the New Orleans Pelicans last night for the first eighteen minutes of the game, Steve Kerr did not wring his hands or call 911 on the Warriors behalf.
