OAKLAND – The Warriors will be competing with history just as much as against the Lakers when the teams meet Tuesday night at Oracle Arena.
A win by the Warriors (15-0) would make them the first NBA team to open a season with 16 consecutive wins.
In other news, it also would tie the franchise record set last season while extending to 20 their regular-season win streak dating back to last April and raising to 27 their home win streak.
The Lakers (2-11) have struggled through the first month of the season, and nobody is having a harder time than star Kobe Bryant, who is coming off two injury-plagued seasons and nearing the end of his career, he’s fighting body soreness on a daily basis.
