Just a few days ago it was reported that veteran point guard Quinn Cook would be working out for the Golden State Warriors. It made sense, as Cook had spent two years with the Dubs, is familiar with the system, is very well respected within the organization, and has a lot of fans in the locker room and front office.
But it won’t be happening, at least not now. According to a report from Shams Charania, Cook has signed a non-guaranteed deal with the Portland Trail Blazers. Instead of trying to earn a role backing up superstar point guard Steph Curry, he’ll try and earn a role backing up superstar point guard Damian Lillard.
