Rare as it may be, the NBA extended universe is actually in agreement on something: Memphis Grizzlies swingman Dillon Brooks' flagrant foul on Golden State Warriors guard Gary Payton II during Game 2 was beyond the pale.
Some would even go so far as calling the play "dirty," or breaking the unwritten code of basketball, as Dubs coach Steve Kerr charged. The league office seems to agree; it suspended Brooks on Thursday for Saturday's Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals series.
Most interestingly, Grizzlies players are also publicly admitting Brooks went too far.
