The Golden State Warriors have been the class of the NBA for roughly a decade, behind the exceptional leadership of the Dubs’ core (Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, and a number of other championship-winning veterans like Shaun Livingston, David West, and Leandro Barbosa), as well as the steady guiding hand of the coaching staff, led by Steve Kerr. It is remarkable that through the good times (4 titles in 8 years) and the bad (the championship loss in 2016, the rash of injuries that ended phase 1 of the dynasty, the ugly early-pandemic years) any internal strife or conflict the Dubs have had, with the notable exception of the Draymond Green / Kevin Durant dust-up back in 2018-2019, has been squished behind closed doors.
