The Golden State Warriors coaching staff will look different next season. Assistant Jarron Collins is leaving the team to pursue head coaching or associate-head-coach opportunities.
Collins spoke with Marc Spears of ESPN’s The Undefeated and explained why he feels now is a good time to part ways with the organization.
“This is about myself and my own personal growth,” Collins told Spears. “I had a conversation with [head coach] Steve [Kerr] and the Warriors. I’ve been there seven years and coached Hall of Fame players. We’ve won championships. I learned so much.
