Draymond Green has seen an increase in outspoken athletes lately, and not just Colin Kaepernick.
“I think a lot of athletes have definitely ramped it up and are trying to help with that change,” Green told Bleacher Report. “Is it helping? We won’t know right away. It’s something that has to change over time.”
Green himself has increased his involvement by joining the advisory board of a non-profit called RISE, or the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality. RISE is an alliance of sports and professional figures trying at improve race relations.
Green detailed his thoughts on RISE — and shared an incident of racial profiling he experienced — in a lengthy interview with Bleacher Report
“I just think it’s important because it’s what I stand for,” the Warriors forward said.
