MEMPHIS — Draymond Green’s biggest obstacle Friday night was a pair of irksome contact lenses.
Several times during the Warriors’ 122-107 rout of the Grizzlies, the All-Star power forward ambled to the sideline to put them back in. Seldom did Green head to the bench without stopping to self-administer a hefty dosage of eye drops.
But his greatest asset is his instincts, a trait no faulty contacts could hinder. Green was at his do-everything best while others handled the scoring load. In powering the Warriors to their first win over Memphis in three tries this season, he became the first player in franchise history to record a triple-double without double-digit points.
