While Draymond Green is campaigning for his second Defensive Player of the Year award after eight seasons, the Warriors vet did something Thursday he hadn’t done in nearly nine years: He finished a game as the team’s leading scorer, again.
Green finished with 21 points in the 117-114 win against the Toronto Raptors, three more points than Golden State’s next-highest scorer, rookie Quinten Post. This was the second time in about a week that the 35-year-old forward accomplished this for the Dubs, as he led the team with 23 points in the 130-104 win against the Sacramento Kings on March 13.
