OAKLAND -- Finding themselves in the “trap game” scenario, the Warriors will try to make it 12 consecutive wins Saturday when they face the Denver Nuggets at Oracle Arena.

After beating the Lakers on Friday, the Warriors (26-6) enter the game with the best record in the NBA. Lurking just ahead, though, is the next chapter of their rivalry with LeBron James and the Cavaliers, who come to Oakland on Christmas Day.
The Nuggets (17-15), who won at Portland on Friday night, are seeking their first winning season since 2012-13, which also is the last time they appeared in the playoffs.
