Denver Nuggets waive former Warriors’ sharpshooter Nick Young

Young, who was the Golden State Warriors main shooting option off the bench last season, played just a handful of games for the Denver Nuggets. Young averaged 2.3 points per game for Denver in a mere four games.

The waiving comes as Nuggets starting shooting guard Gary Harris is set to return. That’s likely not the reason for getting rid of the 12-year veteran. Young apparently didn’t fit the Mile High culture.

Not quite given a great opportunity, Young could be picked up off the waivers by several teams needing playmaking. The Rockets and Lakers both might be interested in Young’s abilities especially given how well he shoots from behind the arc.
