In the Golden State Warriors’ first preseason action against the Minnesota Timberwolves, young center Damian Jones walked towards the sideline as a timeout was called, and promptly received words of advice from his fellow veteran teammates. One of the voices lending advice to the young Warriors player: DeMarcus Cousins.
It was a similar story in Seattle, where the Warriors brought NBA action against the Sacramento Kings for the city’s first taste of basketball in ten years.
Again, Cousins did not pay a single minute as he remained on the sideline during his rehab process but was more than available to bring any help needed, even if that means mentoring the youth like Jones, Jordan Bell, and Kevon Looney.
