This should have been the day, the glorious predefined day, when one Wardell Stephen Curry II suited up again and took the court as a member of the Golden State Warriors for the first time in 2020 and for the first time since Aron Baynes sat on him early this season. But the Warriors front office, coaching staff, and training staff willed otherwise, and now we’re left with more uncertainty. The press release says “sometime in March,” and we know Steph is playing down in Santa Cruz on Monday to try to get some rhythm back. Those in the know insist the Warriors won’t grind down Steph by debuting him in high-altitude Denver.
