Three months after capturing the NBA championship, the Warriors will be back on the court Saturday when they begin their training camp at the newly named Rakuten Performance Center in downtown Oakland.
The Warriors will begin seven consecutive days of practice on Saturday afternoon, leading up to their preseason opener on Saturday, Sept. 30 against the Denver Nuggets at Oracle Arena.
Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green and company will be practicing at what used to just be called the team’s practice facility, located atop the Oakland Convention Center Parking Garage. But, thanks to a 3-year, $60 advertising deal with Japanese tech company Rakuten Inc.
