Jimmy Butler took the night off, and once that was decided the game between the Warriors and the Timberwolves became more or less an exhibition. And that’s too bad because Tom Thibodeau’s squad, currently in 4th place in the Western Conference standings, have a legitimate shot at not only making the post season, but doing a little damage once they get there. Not bad for a team that has not made the playoffs in 13 straight seasons, the longest playoff drought in the NBA. But with no Butler, the Timberwolves lacked the grit and toughness to compete.
