According to ESPN, the Rockets, Hawks, Timberwolves and Nuggets did the doing Tuesday night, after the Warriors and Timberwolves attempted (and failed) to make a Russell-centric deal.
So what now?
Appearing on SportsCenter Tuesday night, the estimable Adrian Wojnarowski set it straight:
“Minnesota is out as a trade partner right now, for (Russell),” Wojnarowski said. “The (trade) deadline is Thursday at 3 p.m. New York is a team that’s had some interest in D’Angelo Russell … I don’t know if New York is in position right now to pull off that kind of a deal.
