SAN FRANCISCO — If there’s a major concern going into the season for the Warriors, it’s the defense.
After having one of the most versatile defenses in the league the last few years, offseason losses have weakened a roster once deep with length and experience. The Warriors posted the second worst defensive rating among NBA teams in the preseason, and it’s worth pointing out that no team with a bottom-10 defense made the playoffs last season.
To remedy that, the Warriors will need better contributions from every rotation player. That includes one of the newest players, guard D’Angelo Russell.
