LAS VEGAS – If he could place a bet here, D’Angelo Russell would throw his chips on the Warriors’ playoff fortunes. Sure, Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala are gone, while Klay Thompson will be out for a significant chunk of next season. The Warriors still have three other All-Stars, though, with Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Russell himself.
“The sky is the limit,” Russell said. “The West [Conference] is exciting with the moves you see. But you add a healthy Klay in the lineup, and it’s whatever it can be. It’s nothing but positive there.”
Ok, so Russell still liked his chances even with the Los Angeles Clippers acquiring Kawhi Leonard and Paul George and the Los Angeles Lakers pairing LeBron James with Anthony Davis.
