The Golden State Warriors opened the season with a logjam at the center position. Of the 15 guaranteed roster spots, six were occupied by centers, or the types of power forwards that Steve Kerr prefers to only play at center.
As a result, second-year big man Damian Jones hasn’t had the chance to play yet. In fact, through the first four games of the year, Jones has yet to even be activated. So the Dubs made a move to get him some playing time.
Damian Jones has been assigned to the Warriors' G-League affiliate in Santa Cuz.
