Investigators with the Oakland Police Department have submitted their findings in the incident involving a Toronto Raptors executive’s confrontation with an Alameda County sheriff’s deputy to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, authorities said Tuesday.
Raptors president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri is suspected of pushing and striking the deputy in the face immediately after Game 6 of the NBA Finals between the Raptors, who defeated the Golden State Warriors 114-110 to win their first league championship.
Although Ujiri was seen on video walking toward the court with a credential in his right hand, it is still not clear whether it was marked to give him access to the floor in the game’s wake.
