OAKLAND – Within 21 seconds, Warrior guard Stephen Curry sparked excitement about his outside shooting and then concern about his durability.
In his first game since missing the past six with a sprained right ankle, Curry strained his left knee. That made the Warriors’ 106-94 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday at Oracle Arena an afterthought.
Curry finished with 29 points, showing efficiency from the field (10 of 18), 3-point range (3 of 8) and free-throw line (6 of 6) in 25 minutes after shooting only 1-of-6 in the first quarter. Curry did not become as fortunate in avoiding another injury.
