The Golden State Warriors have a seven-game winning streak going, but the state of the good ship Dub Nation is not rosy. Focus has been an issue, as have injuries: going into last night’s matchup with the San Antonio Spurs, the Warriors were short Andre Iguodala and Patrick McCaw (wrist injuries), Jordan Bell (ankle sprain), and David West (cyst in right arm). The situation got worse in the first quarter, as Stephen Curry rolled his right ankle yet again; he hobbled off the floor after shooting free throws and would not return to the game. Despite the injury-related adversity and a stiff fight put up by the Spurs, who are themselves jockeying for playoff positioning, the Warriors came away with a gritty 110-107 victory, forged in the crucible of adversity.
