When the just-concluded season kicked off on October 22nd (2019) with a Pelicans-Raptors and Lakers-Clippers doubleheader on TNT, few could have predicted that the season’s conclusion would come in October of next year. Along the way, we saw the season come to a complete halt after multiple members of the Jazz, including Rudy Gobert and his predilection for touching reporters’ microphones, tested positive for COVID-19. We saw the NBA conceive the ambitious concept of “The Bubble”, where players, coaches, team staff, and reporters would co-exist, free from the pesky external influence of COVID-19.
