The Clippers are interested in hiring Warriors executive board member Jerry West away from Golden State, according to an ESPN report.
L.A. wants to bring West in a capacity similar to the advisory role he has held with the Warriors the past six years. West, whose advice and expertise have been a driving force behind the NBA’s most loaded roster, is under contract with Golden State through July.
“We want (West) back,” Warriors majority owner Joe Lacob told the Bay Area News Group’s Tim Kawakami earlier this month. “We love him. He’s been a great contributor to the organization, someone I consider a personal friend, as well.
