OAKLAND — Despite playing in a marquee game, the Warriors labored through a 128-95 loss to the Boston Celtics on Thursday at Oracle Arena.
The Warriors suffered through their most lopsided loss of the season, eclipsing a 28-point blowout against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 21 because of a combination of regular-season apathy, poor defense and key injuries.
Klay Thompson (sore right knee) and Kevon Looney (right pelvic soreness) missed their second consecutive game, while Shaun Livingston (neck spasms) was ruled out shortly before tipoff.
Regardless, the Warriors’ other stars did not offer much beyond Stephen Curry finishing with 23 points while going 8-of-16 from the field and 4-of-10 from 3.
