Steph Curry is the focal point of many of the greatest moments in Golden State Warriors franchise history. But he was, to hear one person tell it, close to being the focal point of the biggest mistake in franchise history - a franchise that, at the time, was largely defined by its mistakes.
According to Milwaukee Bucks owner Marc Lasry, the Warriors proposed a trade that would send Curry to the Bucks in exchange for Andrew Bogut. Luckily for Golden State (and not so much for their trade partner), the training staff in Milwaukee was too worried about Curry’s ankle health to pull the trigger on the deal.
