San Antonio fans held it against David West that the big man chose the Warriors over the Spurs in free agency last summer. West did not mind.
The 13-year veteran disregarded boos sent his way Wednesday at AT&T Center and contributed his best game with Golden State in an important win for the playoff race.
“The story of the game,” coach Steve Kerr said of West, who played for San Antonio last season. “Coming back here, getting boo’d I noticed. But he was inspired and played a great fourth quarter.
West went 5-for-7 in the fourth quarter, including a crisp 3-pointer, en route to a season-high 15 points.
