Before the free-agent period opened Sunday, reports were already circulating that Warriors general manager Bob Myers was on a plane to New York to talk to Kevin Durant.
But it's clear now Durant had already made his decision — perhaps some time ago — because he announced at 3 p.m. on the dot that he was signing a four-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets.
The news wouldn't come as a surprise to Myers, though, who ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported was the first of the NBA execs to learn Durant would not be signing with their team.
