Bob Myers escaped the grind of the Golden State Warriors, but he certainly didn’t chase tranquility or relaxation. After a lifetime in basketball, the most successful executive in Warriors history is trying something new: football. On Monday morning, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network dropped some shocking news: Myers is joining the NFL’s Washington Commanders.
That’s quite a shift for Myers. He played collegiate basketball at UCLA, before starting a career as an NBA agent. Myers joined the Warriors as assistant general manager in 2011, and a year later was promoted to general manager.
