Ahead of the start of the 2019 NBA Draft, Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers recounted what exactly transpired after Klay Thompson exited Game 6 of the NBA Finals with a torn ACL.
While speaking to 95.7 The Game on Thursday, Myers said he and the Warriors star were walking to the locker room with members of the team's medical staff when they were informed that Thompson needed to shoot his free throws if he wanted to return to the game.
"Somebody ran out and grabbed us in the tunnel and said, 'If he doesn't shoot these free throws, he can't come back,' and Klay didn't even wait for an answer; he just walked back on the court," Myers said.
