OAKLAND – Harrison Barnes on Monday sounded optimistic that an agreement on a contract extension can be worked out with the Warriors.
Speaking on Warriors Media Day at the team’s facility, Barnes said he is pleased with negotiations between the Warriors and his new agent, Jeff Schwartz, who three weeks ago replaced Jeff Wechsler.
“Things are going well. I've got no complaints,” Barnes said. “Negotiations are still ongoing, and I'm confident that everything is going to work out.”
If no deal can reached by Oct. 31, the fourth-year forward would become a restricted free agent next summer.
