SACRAMENTO — Jason Thompson stepped carefully, dodging his teammates’ equipment, as he strode from the restroom to the locker room before Saturday night’s game.
He might not miss the cramped nature of the visitors’ quarters at Sleep Train Arena, but the Warriors’ reserve big man will miss just about everything else about the old arena in Sacramento, which will give way to a new, nearly $500 million arena in October.
“I definitely think back to being drafted here, being here seven years and going through Arco Arena, Power Balance Pavilion and now Sleep Train Arena,” said Thompson, about an hour before he played his final regular-season game at the arena.
