A warrant for the arrest of former Warriors and current Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins was issued by the Mobile (Ala.) Police Department, USA Today reported Thursday. A Mobile police spokesperson confirmed to USA Today that the "warrant has been issued."
A defense attorney interviewed by USA Today said it was unlikely Cousins would face "much if any" jail time.
On Tuesday, TMZ reported Cousins was under investigation by Mobile police for allegedly threatening to kill an ex-girlfriend.
In a recording released by TMZ, a man tells a woman that he will "put a bullet through (her) f—ing head" after she tells the man that their son cannot attend his upcoming wedding.
