On Monday morning, the Golden State Warriors signed guard Pat Spencer to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to multiple reports. Who? While basketball fans may be unfamiliar with the name, lacrosse fans surely know of the 26 year old.
Spencer appeared in 15 games for the Wizards' minor league team last season after a single college season at Northwestern in 2019-20 and a brief pro stint in Germany. Before his time on the hardwood, Spencer was a superstar on the lacrosse field.
The Pennsylvania native played lacrosse for Loyola University in Maryland from 2016-19, building up a resume that put him in the conversation as one of the best college lacrosse players to ever play.
