On a team that’s at its best when consistently moving the ball, there are times Aaron Gordon seems to be working counter to his Orlando teammates.
However, Gordon’s habit of taking quick shots and playing isolation basketball came up big for the host Magic during their 125-121 comeback win over Brooklyn on Tuesday night. The Mitty alum scored a career-high 41 points, including the go-ahead three-pointer with 36 seconds remaining.
“I just shot confidently. It was a quick shot,” said Gordon, who also finished with a game-high 14 rebounds. “It felt good coming off my hands.”
Gordon was 5-for-5 from three-point range and 14-for-18 from the field in 37 minutes.
