SEATTLE – The fans kept cheering Kevin Durant and yelling out his name.
Even as the Warriors’ star attempted to attend to every Sonics fan and luminary he could, nothing would stop him from connecting with someone that has meant the most to him. Shortly after his pre-game routine in his first stop here since his rookie season with the former Seattle SuperSonics, Durant spotted former NBA center Spencer Hawes.
Durant gave him a big hug . Durant and Hawes then talked as if they are siblings. In a way, they are.
“That’s my brother,” Durant told Bay Area News Group following the Warriors’ 122-94 pre-season victory over the Sacramento Kings on Friday at Key Arena.
