The comeback has begun. The Golden State Warriors, after going in an almost unrecoverable 3-1 hole, found a way to win Game 5 after being distraught following Kevin Durant’s season-ending lower leg injury.
The Dubs, who were up 12 in the first half and then down six with minutes left, won 106-105. They did so because of timely makes from Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry, ending the game with 26 and 31 respectively.
Golden State also got 11 points in 12 minutes from Kevin Durant, draining all three of his three-point attempts prior to hitting the ground with what many are considering a torn Achilles.
