Unlike many other teams, the Golden State Warriors had a crazy offseason. Full of franchise-altering decision, the Warriors added All-Star 23-year-old guard D’Angelo Russell while losing four-time scoring champion Kevin Durant.
While they may’ve preferred Durant re-sign, the Dubs received a nice haul in return for him. That said, this still a championship-contending team, and they’ll look especially dangerous upon Klay Thompson post-All-Star break return.
Many analysts don’t feel the same. Some have them winding up as the third-best team in the Pacific. With both teams in Los Angeles getting significantly better, the Warriors have suddenly dropped to the bottom half of playoff-contending teams.
