Winning their 15th game of the season a few nights ago against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Golden State Warriors are in the driver’s seat for the No. 1 overall pick. They’ll certainly have their options.
While some will pinpoint specific players that could fit well with the Warriors, traditionally, the fit is less important than the ceiling, especially with a pick as valuable as No. 1. That said, for Golden State, there’s one obvious need: Frontcourt depth.
The Warriors need help in their frontcourt as Kevon Looney has missed multiple weeks during the season. Even at full strength, this Warriors team, a team that will have little room to improve during the offseason, has poor depth behind Looney.
