The Golden State Warriors are heading to the NBA Finals for the 4th straight year after defeating the Houston Rockets 101-92 in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals
Kevin Durant was excellent, putting up 32 points to go along with Steph Curry dropping 27 points of his own.
Despite missing Andre Iguodala for the last 3 games, the Warriors were able to overcome his loss with another sensation 3rd quarter, outscoring the Rockets 33-15 to take a 7 point lead going into the 4th quarter.
They now move on to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2018 NBA Finals for the 4th straight season having beaten the Cavs 2 of the past 3 years to be crowned NBA Champions.
For the Rockets, they are now headed home despite having the best record in the NBA and beating out the Warriors for the #1 seed in the West.
The loss of Chris Paul was simply too much for the Rockets, who couldn’t overcome the Warriors shooting exhibition in the 3rd quarter. At one point, the Rockets had missed 27 straight 3-point attempts
James Harden scored 32 points in the Game 7 loss as postseason failures for the Rockets are becoming all too familiar.
The 2018 NBA Finals will begin on Thursday, May 31st at 9 PM ET on ABC between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors.
Game 1 will take place either in Oracle Arena in Oakland due to the Warriors superior record over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
All games can be viewed on ABC and heard on ESPN Radio.
