1) Kyle O'Quinn (C, Knicks)
The Warriors interest in O'Quinn has been well documented so far.
According to ESPN's Ian Begley, the Warriors have expressed interest in trading for New York Knicks backup center Kyle O'Quinn.
Starting center Enes Kanter and backup center Kyle O'Quinn also have received interest from opposing executives, sources said, with members of the Golden State Warriors among those executives to express interest in 27-year-old big man O'Quinn.
"O'Quinn has certainly outperformed his contract," said David Jacober, a strategic planning consultant for NBA teams. "His diversity on offense makes him attractive to a number of teams, such as Houston and Golden State."
O'Quinn, a noted defender, is averaging 6.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game this season.
2) Willy Hernangomez (C, Knicks)
Similar to O'Quinn, Hernangomez can offer decent defense off the bench with a little offense as well. He is 4 years younger than O'Quinn and might end up being cheaper as well.
Hernangomez is averaging 4.8 points and 2.9 rebounds per game this season
3) Lou Williams (SG, Clippers)
Lou Williams is in the middle of a career year, putting up 23 points and 5 assists per game for a Clippers team that desperately needed scoring. He's shooting a career high 40% from 3-point range and would be an incredible player for the Warriors to have off the bench. However, he has said recently he doesn't want to get traded and would come with a hefty price tag. Williams is probably a pipe dream for the Warriors, but what a move it would be to get him.
4) Nikola Mirotic (PF, Bulls)
The chances of the Bulls trading Mirotic is 99%. He has been playing way above his paygrade recently with career highs in FG and 3P % and points, rebounds, and assists per game. He's also causing the Bulls to win games, which for a team trying to tank and rebuild is not what they need right now. The Warriors could look to make a move for the star international, but he would cost a pretty penny. You would most likely have to trade Jordan Bell and/or Patrick McCaw along with a draft pick.
5) Anthony Davis (PF, Pelicans)
Tim Kawakami of The Athletic thinks that Anthony Davis will be the Warriors next great target. Now, while this is probably not going to happen until he is a free agent, a mid-season acquisition could be easier to make work with the salary cap. Spoiler alert: Everyone would be absolutely shocked is the Warriors made a move for Davis. They would most likely have to trade Klay Thompson or Draymond Green, possible both. Will this happen? Probably not. Would it be awesome to see Davis with Steph Curry and Kevin Durant? Absolutely.
