The Golden State Warriors have been playing without centers Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezeli recently, but they may return to full strength soon, according to head coach Steve Kerr.
“We don’t think it’s going to be too long,” Kerr said, via the San Francisco Chronicle. “We’ve been without Bogut before. You just adapt. Every team adapts according to their own personnel. For us right now, without Bogut and Ezeli, it means we have to play a little smaller, and that means we’re vulnerable on the glass. It’s the way it goes.”
Bogut has missed Golden State's last two games with a sprained toe. He is averaging 5.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
Ezeli has been out for six weeks after having arthroscopic knee surgery. He is averaging 7.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
In their absence, midseason acquisition Anderson Varejao has seen an increase in minutes, averaging 3.1 points and 2.2 rebounds in 8.9 minutes per game in 15 games with the Warriors.
