Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala will his 12th straight game on Friday night since spraining his ankle on March 11, but he told reporters that he expects to be back on the court sometime soon and will be healthy for Golden State's playoff run.
“I’d like to hope for that,” Iguodala said. “You never want to limp into the playoffs, but it is what it is. You’ve got to deal with the situation. You can’t let it hinder your mind or get you thinking that you’re not there. You’ve just got to play through it. I’ve played through it before, so it’s no big deal. I’ve just got to get ready to go.”
One reason why he excited to return to the court? Iguodala repeatedly stressed how much he hates the rehab process.
“The worst part of rehab is you rehab all day,” Iguodala said. “It’s the worst. Rehabbing is worse than playing four (games) in five (nights).”
The reigning NBA Finals MVP is averaging 7.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game this season.
