The Golden State Warriors have signed D-League standout James Michael McAdoo to a 10-Day contract.
McAdoo was also considering an offer from the Memphis Grizzlies, but ultimately chose the Warriors because of his history with the team. McAdoo was part of Golden State's 2014 Summer League squad, and spent September 2 to October 24 on the Warriors' full roster before being waived prior to the start of the regular season.
Shortly after that, McAdoo was picked up by the Warriors' D-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors. In 22 games for the D-League Warriors, McAdoo is averaging 17.6 points and 9.3 rebounds in 32.6 minutes per game. A 6'9 power forward, McAdoo played three seasons at the University of North Carolina before declaring for the NBA Draft.
Steve Kerr's Warriors are now 32-6 after Saturday night's blowout win over the Houston Rockets, and they'll have Sunday off before taking on the Denver Nuggets at Oracle Arena on Monday. As part of the NBA's special Martin Luther King Day schedule, the game is set for a 1:00 PM PT tipoff.
