After Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry committed three first-half turnovers against the Minnesota Timberwolves, along with almost committing another one on a full-court pass that head coach Steve Kerr termed as "bizarre," Curry was used as an example of what not to do in practice the next day.
Far from being offended, the talented point guard appreciated it.
"He handles everything well about trying to keep the process as a priority," Curry said on Monday as he and his wife gave out boxes of food and personal care items at Beebe Memorial Cathedral. "Obviously we're happy we won the game, but we didn't play up to the standards that we've set for ourselves.
"Nobody is sensitive on our team. We take that in stride and understand that we're all trying to win a championship. The details do matter, and if we don't play the way we're capable of playing, even though we won, it didn't feel like a successful night."
The Warriors are averaging 15.7 turnovers a game so far in 2014-15 after averaging 14.9 last season. For a team that hasn't shown a lot of holes in need of plugging this year, Kerr is doing his damnedest to attack this one before it starts costing the squad dearly.
