Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is having an MVP season so far, and his teammates see it too.
After the Warriors dismantled the Utah Jazz with a 44-point third quarter, Bogut told reporters just how impressed he was:
"He's the MVP in the league right now in my opinion." Bogut said.
Coach Steve Kerr echoed that sentiment:
"People are recognizing this guy is clearly one of the top few players in the NBA."
The Warriors and Jazz were tied at halftime, but after Curry caught fire in the third quarter, it was never close. The Warriors shot 13-25 from three-point range on the night, and they now trail the Los Angeles Clippers in three-point shooting percentage by a hundredth of a percent. Golden State leads all NBA teams in points per game with 109.4, field goal percentage at 48.4%, field goal percentage allowed at 42%, and assists per game at 25.9.
The Warriors play the Miami Heat Wednesday, then have a day off before back-to-back road games against the Oklahoma City Thunder (Friday) and the Houston Rockets (Saturday). The Warriors have won all three of their matchups against the Thunder this season, as well as both of their games against the Rockets.
