Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has finally stepped up to his role as a leader. The Warriors have a four-game winning streak with Curry playing a major role in their victories. Stephen Curry has had seven straight games with twenty plus points.
I think its safe to say that we were all skeptic of the Warriors signing Stephen Curry for four more years after his relentless ankle injuries.
Last season Curry missed 40 out of the 66 regular-season games due to his ankle injuries. This season he came back saying that he was back to 100%, only to suffer another ankle injury during preseason. With Curry’s performance the past few games, Curry’s ankle troubles seem to be a thing of the past. (knock on wood)
Curry is finally healthy, and back to playing 100 percent. Without having to worry about his ankle, Curry has become a more confident player. Warriors GM Myers stated that he wanted to see Curry's leadership improve. With Curry becoming a more confident player, he has lead the team this season and proven that he is capable of being the leader of the Warriors.
We might even see a Warriors in the 2013 All-Star game this season.
