WARRIORS NEED TWO MORE WINS TO CLINCH THE SIXTH SEED

With only five games left in the Golden State Warriors 2012-2013 season, the Warriors have to win two more games in order to clinch the sixth seed in the playoffs this season.

The Warriors were able to win two out of the three games during this past week. They played the New Orleans Hornets (winning 98-88), the Phoenix Suns (winning 111-107), and lastly the Utah Jazz (falling short at 97-90).

During their Sunday game against the Utah Jazz, the Warriors played outstanding defense but were unable to close the game with their offense. This is a reoccurring problem for the Warriors. They are unable to make a shot when they need it most. Although Utah does have a good defense, they are one of the worst road teams (12-27) in the NBA this season.

They have a tendency to play outstanding defense and offense until the last few minutes of the game. Once the game is close, the Warriors seem to clam up. The Warriors need to work on their offense for the postseason if they plan to make it far in the playoffs.

If the Warriors won the game against the Jazz, then they would have clinched the sixth seed in the playoffs. Unfortunately, now that they lost the game against the Utah Jazz, in order for the Warriors to clinch their sixth spot, the Warriors will have to win the next two games. If the Lakers lose against the Hornets or the Jazz lose to the Thunder, and the Warriors win Tuesday against the Timberwolves, then the Warriors can seal a playoff berth.

If all works out, the Warriors will have clinched the sixth seed in the Western Conference for this seasons playoffs by Tuesday.
